Evening everyone,

Birds had a great day starting out with an 8am training toss from 15kms away - likely is last time from this distance.

A video from the release as well as a video of some of them coming home is also posted on our Facebook page.

Another video showing the birds hanging out this evening on the landing board was just posted as well on Facebook.

Morning!

Rick took the birds 15kms again this morning - released them at 7:45am.

He managed to just beat them home and remembered to take both a release video and an arrival video!

I've posted the videos on Facebook for those able to sign in there.

Results from the toss are also now in the Trainers section in wincompanion.

Good morning everyone,

Another 5km training toss / inventory is up from yesterday - just posted this am.  The 5km toss was done at 9am yesterday.

Rick has a loft fly planned for today and then another training toss for tomorrow morning.

A little overcase here this morning with some scattered drizzle...but looks like there will be some sun later this afternoon.

Good morning everyone

Rick managed to get a training toss in this morning from about 3kms out.  He released the birds at 9am.

He made sure to clear the clock and I should be able to post the results from this one when I'm home later!

Evening flyers,

Some rain and clouds today - much more mild in temperature lately.  I think fall is coming.

Rick did a trailer release from about a kilometer from the loft.  The clock wasn't on so not "results" from this one.

Rick is doing these tosses every day from now until the end of the weekend.  After that, he is going to start adding some distance and see how it goes!

Hi everyone 

Another inventory is up from last night.  Birds are healthy.

90% of the birds are flying as a team now.

Rick is planning some road training this weekend - weather permitting of course.

It's rainy here today (again).  I've just uploaded early this morning the newest inventory for the OLR.

There are 5 bands that did not scan during inventory and Rick is working on replacing those bands asap.  Sometimes the bands mysteriously stop working.  That's why we like to get them scanned individually for these inventories, and not just let them rush past the scanning pads.

Evening flyers,

Just posted a great video on Facebook tonight.  It shows Rick calling the birds in after they had some time outside with a loft fly and bath.  😊🐦

We're planning a trailer release in the yard on Sunday and we'll take a video of the release.  Rick is trying to get the birds to group together a bit more.

Of course we're prepping them for their soon to be race season!

The latest inventory is up as promised.  Check out the TRAINERS tab with the July 31st date on it.

Over the last couple of weeks, the birds that have gone missing from the inventory are not from sickness, they are from hawks or have not made it home from loft flying.  We assume they might be hitting things when ranging and not making it home.
