Hello to all breeders,
the birds loft flew this morning. The birds that
returned yesterday are resting.
hello to all breeders,
Hello to all breeders,We have started training the birds this week. they all did well on a 5 mile training. They were released in in 2 groups. When they returned home they flew another hour. The next day they went 10 miles and when they came home the hawk spooked them and they flew another hour and a half. Today We let the the birds loft fly. The temperatures are still getting hot about 10am so training needs to go slow . The weather seems the same , until about oct. 23rd, when the temperature is going to drop into the high 80’s. The birds are in good health.
Hello to all breeders, The birds are in good health and doing well. The mornings are finally getting into 66-69 degrees in the mornings but the temperature increases About 5 degrees and and hour. Here when the sun is shining it gets warm. Even in the winter. We don’t wear jackets in the daytime.temperatures are still about 100 degrees but are cooling off a Little more this week. The birds are loft flying a little over an hour a day being flagged. There are a few birds missing. We are having several hawk attacks but they are unsuccessful. Some birds may go sit on other houses and get hit by hawks there. I stay outside With them until they trap and I don’t see anymore flying. The Two groups are ready for one next week. This will allow for easier loft flying since some don’t want to come in and let the others out. Road training should start soon but we need To watch the daytime temperatures since it gets too hot if they get lost. So we will go slow .Several flyers in our club had severe losses from short tosses. Thank you for your support and confidence!
