Hope everything is going well at your Lofts. We would like to give you an Update on the progress of the Birds as of today. Health is good despite the heat 950 birds are out and tracking with earlier entries learning to trap and settle. Early morning, losses have been low please check the Breeders List for missing or lost birds.
We are now at the point of not taking in any New Unreserved birds. Only Pre-Paid Reserved and Replacements Birds will be Excepted; it filled up quickly, and we feel that the health of the Birds is foremost. So, to recap, as of today, we will only accept Pre-Paid Birds and replacements until September 15th. Please try to send them in the mail on Monday or Tuesday and fill up the birds with water and food. Brian will be at Jedd’s on Monday the 31st at 12:00 Noon to pick up food and supplies and any replacement birds you may have. This will be the last and final pickup.

We Have over 1100 birds now. 800 are out and about with 300 routing. Health and settling is coming along great. Only a couple of losses. OLR is filling up fast.
Will be picking up birds and supplies at JEDDS July 31st, monday at noon. Please have your forms filled out. If its a replacement bird, stated it on form too. Perch fee must be with bird. That goes for birds being shipped in too.If not, birds will not be registered till payment is receiced. Please only ship on Mondays or Tuesday. Its hard to pickup birds on Saturday and Sunday if we are luck.

We are now taking in birds for the 2023-2024 Season. Hope you are having a good Breeding season. We will be accepting birds until Sept 1. or until its full. Replacements up to Sept 15. Please try to send birds on Monday and Tuesday as we pick them up in Kingman, AZ, and not in Las Vegas; although the birds arrive in Vegas first, there are occasions the Birds are held an extra day, so we like that extra Day buffer for the bird’s health. Be sure to Feed and Water them Extra before shipping and Vaccinate for PMV; if not, please inform us. We will be at Jedd’s at 12:00 noon on June 26th. Hope to see you there. Please have your Perch Fee forms fill out along with Payment.

Hope you all had a great Old Bird season. Will be picking up birds in California on June 5th at JEDDS. The 5th is a Monday at noon. Please register your birds and let me know if you are going to be there. So we have an idea of how many crates to bring. Next pickup will be June 26th at noon at JEDDS.
We will not be home from May 16th to May 30th. Do not ship birds earlier than May 30th. We will be in St. Louis and Canada for two weeks.

Dear GVLHR Breeders,
Our Season was very successful, and we paid out approx. 365,000. We had taken in over 1600 Birds, with 936 going to the main race with over 2000 miles of training and 500 more birds than the previous year. We are now looking forward to the next season 2023-2024 Late Hatch Race. We will be accepting Birds as of June 1st; the loft can accommodate over 1600 birds, but we will try to take in as many as are safe for the birds. Please look for our Ad in Pigeon Digest June Edition or visit https://www.gvlhr.com to see New Rules Posted.
If you have winnings of over 600.00, please send in your W9 Form that would include any form of credit used, such as 600 was the prize, and you used 200.00 for entry to the 400-mile race; we will still issue a 600.00 w-9 on the form.
We are looking for a missing bird from one of the Breeders, ARPU-102917-BBH. For anyone with knowledge or recovery, there is a Reward offered.

Weather is bad on Wednesday. Will be dropping off birds at JEDDS, THURSDAY 3/16th at about 1:00 PM, traffic permitting. Then in Riverside area at 3:00 at El Torito off of 91 and McKinley. If you miss me. Will be giving the Riverside area birds to Bill Blankenship. his phone number 951- 347-0004.

Will be going through the birds on Tuesday. And will start shipping birds back on the 20th Of March. If you do not want your bird back and have prize money coming. Can start cutting your checks now. Others checks will be cut after your birds are shipped back to you.

GVLHR UPDATE 400 MILE PAYOUTS
Dear Breeders,
400 Miler Will be run tomorrow out of San Fidal, New Mexico. Birds will be fighting the wind 2 Mountain Ranges, Snow on the Ground. Temp 15 Degrees at Release. We might Rename this Race the “Polar Express.”
We have quite substantial Prize fund; Birds will be in Clocking Order and Paying Down to 54 Spots.
Race will Be open for 2 Days.

Sorry, we haven’t announced the Strong Bird 400 Mile Race due to the crazy weather we’re having, the only window of opportunity to fly is Saturday the 4th, and Basketing on Friday the 3rd.
The forecast for Sat is the only day that is acceptable. We will post the Payout Sheet after Basketing as many of the entries are still coming in, with over 500 birds making the race, and 25,000 loaded from the original entry fees we should have a sizeable Purse.
Please get your entry fees in before this Saturday, please call if you have made arrangements or have any questions. Any paid entries that don’t make the 400 Race will be refunded.
All prizes will be sent out the second week after the 400 Mile Strong Bird Race. The prize sheet will be posted after the Race is completed.
