GUYS WE PLAN TO HAVE THE FINAL 300MI RACE SOMETIME NEXT WEEK. DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER, RIGHT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE WEDNESDAY . KEEP TUNED
guys we gave the birds a 40 mi toss yesterday, under clear sunny sky with light headwind. for some reason 8 of them did not make it home. i have no idea what happened but did have one bird come home with a leg injury.
we are shooting for next week for the final race as they are predicting snow/ice the next 2-3 days.
good luck on the final
guys we gave the birds a 60 mil toss today, they did well. we will give them 1 or 2 more tosses and then do the 100 mi. ACTIVATION TOSS. SO KEEP TUNED. WE ARE GETTING CLOSE TO RACES.
my computer went down and now is in the shop i bought a new one which is what im typing on but can't seem to
get the last training toss copied here. i will keep trying, or you can just email me and i will send it to you.
we haven’t been able to toss the birds for about 10 days
because of weather but did give them a 5 mi
toss 2x today. I will post results later today
WE HAVE GIVEN THE BIRDS 4 SHORT TOSSES, AND THEY HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS IT SEEMS. THE FIRST 2 TOSSES WENT WELL, THE 3RD IS WHEN THE PROBLEM OCCURED. THEY SEEMED TO HAVE A PROBLEM FINDING HOME. WE TOOK THEM ON THE 4TH TOSS, THEY TOOK A WHILE GETTING HOME, BUT MOST CAME TOGETHER. TODAY IT STARTED RAINING AND HAS RAINED ALL DAY. IT IS SUPPOSED TO RAIN MOST OF THE WEEKEND SO WE WILL NOT TOSS UNTIL IT CLEARS UP.
I HAVE THE BIRDS CLOCKED ON THE 4TH TOSS, BUT HAVEN'T BROGHT THE CLOCK TO THE HOUSE YET, I WILL TRY TO DO IT TOMORROW AND LET EVERYONE SEE THE RESULTS.
well here at the lucky 17 , we have been in the process of training the birds to load in the trailer, we have done this 3 times, then we take them for a short toss. again tomorrow we will do this. so keep tuned, as we will start down the road shortly, depending on the weather of course.
not much going on at lucky 17, we just put the birds thru a respirtory treatment and the birds are doing fine. they have open loft most days and fly in the mornings, then back in the loft during the middle of the day then fly in the evenings. their last flight is almost grown in . we will start training around the 3rd week of sept, when the tempatures get lower. we fly from north to south, and have for years, we find this is a very good course. we have had rain recently and they are forcasting rain for the next 10 days. so keep tuned in and if you have any questions, just email me at email@example.com
