WE WENT 60 MI. TODAY AND THE BIRDS DID REAL WELL. SUPRISED ME, AS THERE WAS NO WIND, I MEAN THE FLAGS WERE HANGING LYMPT AND THE BIRDS BEAT ME HOME. WE WILL GIVE THEM ANOTHER 60 MI. TOSS THEN GO TO 75 MI. THEN THE ACTIVATION TOSS OF 100 MI.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
WE RELEASED THE BIRDS THIS MORNING AT 25 MI. SUN WAS OUT, LT TAILWIND, THEY SHOULD HAVE SHOT RIGHT OWN HOME, BUT SOMETHING SCREWED THEM UP.. THEY APPARANTLY OVERFLEW AS MOST OF THEM CAME FROM THE SOUTH, THEY SHOULD HAVE CAME FROM THE NORTH, ONE WAS FOUND ABOUT 12 MI. SOUTH OF ME. HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET MORE TOMORROW.
We gave the birds their Second 15 mi toss this Morning and they came well, I will post the results tonight
TODAY IT RAINED FOR A WHILE SO WE DID A LOFT FLY INVENTORY. OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS,. WE HAVE BEEN LOADING THE BIRDS IN THE CRATES AND TAKING THEM A SHORT DISTANCE FROM THE LOFT JUST TO GET THEM USED TO BEING IN THE CRATES AND RELEASED. THE BIRDS SEEM TO BE DOING FINE, NO POX AS SOME LOFTS HAVE REPORTED AS WE USE THE STOP MITE FROM SIEGELS FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. IT HAS BEEN A BIG ASSET IN CONTROLING POX AS WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT, AS YEARS BEFORE WE ALWAYS POXED THE BIRDS. THIS ELIMINATES A LOT OF WORK FOR US. AS USUAL WE HAVE HAD SOME DEATHS DUE TO YB, SICKNESS, THERE SEEMS TO BE NO PREVENATIVE FOR IT AS I'VE TRIED MANY THINGS. IT ALWAYS FLARES UP WHEN THE HEAT ARRIVES, AND USUALLY AFFECTS THE YOUNGER BIRDS.
THE FLIGHTS ARE JUST ABOUT GROWN IN ,MAYBE AN INCH TO GO ON SOME.
WE PLAN TO START TRAINING IN A COUPLE WEEKS, EARLIER THEN USUAL AS OUR CLUB /COMBINE IS FLYING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH WHICH IS THE WAY WE FLY THE ONE LOFT BIRDS, SO WE WILL TRAIN THE ONE LOFT BIRDS AND MY PERSONAL BIRDS TOGETHER, THIS WILL SAVE A LOT OF WORK. I PROBABLY WON'T CHIP MY PERSONAL BIRDS UNTIL WE START THE RACES AS I HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT HOW TO CHIP THEM NOW AND THEY NOT SHOW UP ON THE TRAINING REPORT OF THE ONE LOFT BIRDS.
SO UNTIL LATER GOOD LUCK IN YOUR Y.B. RACES.
here are the birds i found with no assignment today

WELL HERE IT IS MAY 25 AND WE ARE ALMOST HALF WAY THRU THE YEAR. ABOUT HALF THE BIRDS ARE UP FLYING AND ROUTING IN THE MORNINGS AND EVEINGS. THE HEALTH IS PRETTY GOOD ,A FEW MINOR RESPIRTORY PROBLEMS BUT DOXYCYCLENE TAKES CARE OF THAT PRETTY QUICK. OUR LAST ENTRIES CAME IN FROM HAWAII ABOUT 10 DAYS AGO AND A COUPLE REPLACEMENTS. WE WILL INTRODUCE THOSE TO THE MAIN FLOCK TODAY. NOT MUCH ELSE GOING ON, THERE ARE RUMORS THAT SEVERAL ONE LOFT RACES ARE HAVING PROBLEM WITH ECOLI, WHICH IS TYPICAL IN A ONE LOFT SITUATION.
WE WILL DO ANOTHER INVENTORY SOON SO STAY TUNED.
ITS HOT~!!! THE WEATHER HAS TURNED PRETTY WARM TODAY. THE BIRDS ARE OUT AND ENJOYING THE MORNING EXERCISE. WE HAVE A FEW BIRDS COMING IN, BUT THIS WILL BE THE LAST OF THEM. THE HEALTH OF THE BIRDS IS PRETTY GOOD, ONLY A COUPLE THAT ARE A LITTLE UNDERWEIGHT. I HAVE ABOUT 30 STILL IN THE PRIMARY PEN THAT HAVEN'T BEEN TURNED IIN WITH THE BIG GROUP, THIS WILL BE DONE SOON. THE BIRDS HAD A BATH YESTERDAY WHICH THEY ENJOYED.
SO WILL POST LATER IF ANYTHING NECCESSARY.
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
if you click onto training you will see the first inventory. click on the view live results 2 x to see the birds that have been clocked. there are several birds that have not been chipped, we are waiting for new chips. as soon as they arrive, we will chip them and run them across the clock.
Good morning Breeders
we have around 150 birds in the loft now, most of them settled and flying around. we will do a inventory in the next few days and let you breeders know if any birds missing. it's getting hot now, around 90 degrees and the birds are enjoying a bath now and then.
take care and good luck in your o.b. races.
