Good afternoon Breeders!
The birds are starting to roll in! Our intake process at the Louisiana Perch is probably a little bit longer than most races. With that being said, dont hesitate to send birds a little younger! If they're eating/drinking on their own, we're ready for them. Each bird gets a PMV/ROTA vaccine at arrival and gets assigned an intake cage for 2 full weeks and gets another PMV/ROTA prior to entering general population. Each breeder gets their own cage or 2 cages if they send a bigger team. There is no mixing of birds during intake as this is the time I watch droppings intently.
Each paid entry is receiving a free raffle ticket for a chance to win $1000, $500, $250, $250. If you send 1 bird, you get 1 ticket. A team of 6 gets you 6 chances to win ect. You can win more than once!
The birds are doing very well! I'm putting a chip ring on the birds immediately at arrival. Their getting red drops for parasites and a canker pill. They'll be wormed prior to gen pop as well.
