After today's toss at 80 miles you are probably wondering what is the plan.   Because we are now getting out there in miles there are of course more weather patterns to deal with . Tomorrows scheduled race day has good release conditions however the  last 125 miles has predicted rain.  Sunday isn't good at the release site.  We'll go for next week as the weather seems to be stabilizing.   

425 birds are on their way to Race#2 Burns Jct, our 206 mile station.  Planning for a 7:15 am release on the tail of a front that brought scattered showers to most all of eastern Oregon. Hope it's clear for a reasonable early release.  Will you posted. 

        Still having difficulty with the postal system getting those entry checks delivered from across the country.   

The Deadline for entry fees has been extended until the day of shipping Race#2,  200miles.  Thank you for getting these in on a timely manner, many have been received.  Also I have received paypal payment from George E. which I cannot track to anyones birds.  Please include your Loft name with payment. 

Most of the birds are home now from the 124mile activation race this morning. Entry fees are due and they can be sent by mail  or paypal.  Our first race is scheduled for this coming Friday September 15th.  Looking forward  to great series!!!

 Smoke from fires has been blanketing  the area about 25-50 miles out, and then Temps in the 100's this week on top of that, have pretty much shut down training here.  I'm guessing with the predicted winds over the next couple days we will see improved conditions, and training will resume Sunday.  The activation race will take place in the next 10-14 days.  Have a great weekend,  Paul

   At this point all birds (except those recieved after April 16th) have been loft flying.  Please check your inventory and send replacements if  you have them.  This is the last week of bird intake.  Have a great week!!!! Paul 

The loft's have been scoured and scrubbed and are ready for birds this week Feb 15th.  Only rule change is full entry refund if your bird doesn't go to the 200 mile race.  Looking forward to receiving your entries.  

295 birds were released this morning at 7:15 under clear and calm skies, at 41 degrees from Battle Mtn, NV.  Along the course there will be variable winds to 2-4 mph  changing to head winds for at least the last 80 miles at  2- 6 mph.  Highs today 75-80.

Lunch will be served at 12:30  with birds expected sometime around 3:00 PM PDT. Bring your favorite chair.

Thursday Oct 13th is still looking good for our final race.  As always we will be serving a lunch as we gather to watch those champions come home.  Please RSVP as soon as possible as we prepare for  this event.   We will be having 3 more short tosses before the final.  Have a great weekend!!!! Paul
