MAY 23RD UPDATE

Congratulations to Me Fui Vega Loft for winning the 150 Mile Old Bird Race this week.  The early group flew some fast speeds while flying against head/shoulder wind.  We are watching the weather closely for the 200 mile race.  We will train today and update again in a day or two once we get a better handle on the weather.  Please get your entry money in!  There are several fanciers who owe and we have not heard from.  The entry fees are due before the 200 Mile Race.   We will begin calling everyone tomorrow and Friday for those that haven't paid.  If entries are not paid the birds will be marked For Sale
If you would like to pay using PayPal you can do so using the link below which will take you to the payments section of the website.  You can also call the office and pay using a credit card.  There are fees associated with both options.

Yearling/Old Bird Update

427 birds have been basketed for tomorrows 150 Mile race.  We hope to liberate by 7:00 am from Arcola, Illinois.  Remember entry money is due now!  Any bird not entered by the 200 mile race will be put up For Sale.  There are still a few people that owe for perch fees as well that we have tried contacting with no luck.  These birds as well will be put up For Sale.
Several fanciers have made Entry payments using PayPal.  If you do not know how to use PayPal's "Friends and Family" service then use the link on the website to pay the entries.  When you simply click "Send Money" PayPal charges us a fee for receiving the money.  We then have to add to the Entry to make it $200 for the full entry to be paid.
Beginning Monday May 20th payments made incorrectly via PayPal will be returned and you will be asked to pay using the Link on the Website or by credit card.

If you need to pay using a credit card you can call the office Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at 219-733-0011

APRI 29TH UPDATE

Yearlings were trained again yesterday, this time from 45 miles.  I think jumping them helped wake them up.  When released yesterday they did not circle around at all.  It was nice to see them clear the area quickly.  Our goal is to train daily however the weather has not been good.  The Midwest just can't seem to let go of Old Man winter.  We had snow on Saturday, luckily it didn't stick and now we have 3 days of rain in the forecast.  Today has been non-stop rain so we will continue to watch the weather and see when the next best day to train is.  Hopefully by Wednesday or Thursday we can get some training in.
