JULY 1ST UPDATE

Congratulations to Mike Cassidy on winning the 500 mile race for old birds and Congratulations to Van Den Bossche Brothers on winning 1st Ace Pigeon again this year.  The six race series was not easy as weather played a big role in many of the races this season.  We are already planning the 2020 season.

2020 Yearling Race Guaranteed Prizes
$10,000 1st Place - 300 Miles
$15,000 1st Place - 400 Miles
$25,000 1st Place - 500 Miles
Again it will be a 6 race series consisting of
100 - 150 - 200 - 300 - 400 - 500 Miles
Perch Fees will be $150
Race Entries will be $300

Any fancier who flew this season can leave their birds to fly again as long as perch fees are paid by August 15th.
Anyone wishing to get their bird(s) back please call the office at 219-733-0011
We will not ship birds back until August 1st.  For those that wish to get their birds back we can also hold them until the young birds are over and ship them all back together.  We ask everyone to contact us and let us know what you would like to do with your birds.
With the increase in shipping charges through the post office we will be looking at what we can do to reduce box sizes to keep shipping expenses down for those that wish to get their birds back.

JUNE 21ST UPDATE

This weekend does not look good to have a race.  We either show rain here or along the course with south east winds between 10-20 mph.  We are not looking for an easy race but rather a fair race.  These birds have worked hard through the series and we want it to be fair and not a throw away.   Please bare with us as we watch the weather closely.  Its now looking like possibly Tuesday or Wednesday.

There is still time to enter the Hoosier High Roller as well.  Payouts will be in the Final 500 Mile Race.  There are 4 different options available.
Bronze - $25
Silver - $50
Gold - $100
Platinum - $200

Hoosier High Roller can be made by calling the office at 219-733-0011.

JUNE 16TH UPDATE

The 400 mile race for the old birds was as tough as the 2 previous races.  The forecast called for 5-10 mph headwinds.  For once we can honestly say wind was not a factor as we never got the wind that was forecasted.  What we did get that we did not expect was rising temperatures that day.  Birds flew in the mid to upper 80 degrees that day.  This is warm for us as we have barley been out of the 70's so far this year.  Congratulations to Daehn/Miele winning the 400 mile race with NWFI 203.  This bird won the race by over 5 minutes.  Van Den Bossche Brothers had the 2nd place bird followed by:
3. Furlano Rotiroti
4. S.A. Amajuba Team
5. Americas Dream Loft
6. Furlano Rotiroti
7. Ganus Family Loft
8. Hawaii Syndicate
9. Ganus Family Loft
10. Ganus Family Loft

We can't leave out Ken Easleys bird having taken 11th and leading Average Speed.  We will resume training Tuesday with anticipation of hosting the 500 mile race next weekend 6/22 or 6/23.  As of now they are calling for rain, however they can never seem to get the weather forecast right so we will see.  As of today we have 315 birds home from the 400 with 144 of them home on the day out of 366.

Don't forget you can enter the Hoosier High Roller options and 100% is paid out on the final race
Bronze - $25
Silver - $50
Gold - $100
Platinum - $200

Have a great week!
