I hope this finds everyone doing well. We just wanted to give a quick update for the birds. We had 86 birds total for the 2017 year. At the last update one bird was missing, Sunday we pulled the 9th flights and are shutting them down for a few days. We had a hawk attack, 1 bird was killed and another hasn't returned since then. the breeders have been notified. We now have 83 birds settled in the loft and looking good. We will treat for respiratory and worm them again while they are shut down. This is a smaller group than we hoped for but we will handle them and race them just like we promised our breeders. We will also chip ring them while they are up and start posting on Wincompanion when they go back out. God Bless. Thanks Andrea and Jimmy
I hope this finds everyone doing well. We did a hands on inventory today, we only lost one bird while settling them. The owner has been called. This group is doing very well, we had a couple of the very young ones puff up for a day or too but all is good now. All birds have been out at least for a week and I will be pulling 9th flights next weekend. We are having rain here now so I will worm the birds tomorrow and not loft fly. We had 86 birds entered and 85 are still here and healthy. I would like to thank the breeders that chose to fly with us for helping us build this race a little more. I am waiting on a few more chip rings and I will be posting the loft flys on Wincompanion. God Bless. Thanks Andrea and Jimmy
I have had 3 breeders contact me this morning that shipped today and 2 more shipping next week. Some more need to ship after the 15th, so I am going to extend the cut of date til 5/31/2017. I know being a new race we are shipped to last and we will grow a little this year and every year in the future. I am having problems sending out emails with Mailchimp and as soon as their tech contacts me I will email all Breeders.

Birds are starting to come in now. Just picked up two groups at the post office this morning. The first birds that are here have been out 8 or 10 times. The second group are just finishing trap training and will go out in the next few days. Remember we accept birds until 5/15, so if you haven't signed up, get that done and lets make this one of the best races in the country.
Good Morning Breeders. We have had a mild winter here in North Carolina. The loft is ready for your birds. We are off to Las Vegas tomorrow for the Ipigeon Gala and will be returning on Sunday. We will start receiving birds on Monday the 20th of Feb. and take them thru May 15th. We are excited to be starting our 2nd year and to grow our race a little more. Remember we now have a 12 bird limit per flyer. Please contact us when you ship so we will be looking for the birds. God Bless.

I have updated the awards that I know are secured. 2nd place average is still not awarded yet, $1000.00. And 3rd place bird has not been awarded yet, $1070.00. Mayberry Money Madness has not been claimed yet, $700.00 in the $100.00 race and $1000.00 in the $200.00 race, If this is not won it will be returned to the breeders. Thanks again for flying our race. The season was tough but we finished it. I wish all birds had finished but that was not meant to be this year. All returning breeders will get 6 complimentary perch fees for 2017 from us to say Thanks for supporting us the first year. Remember 2017 goes to a 12 bird limit. $100 per bird, 6 for $500, 12 for $1000. And there will be 2 avivation races, a 100 and a 150. In all my years of Flying I can say this has been the toughest year on returns nationwide I have ever witnessed.

Yesterday morning 994 HOHC was on the landing board, returning from the 175. We now have 9 birds from 8 breeders flying the final race this Friday from 325. The birds have been loft flown everyday and will get 1 or 2 tosses this week. The birds are ready let's just hope the weather holds. If they trap slow today, dont worry they were fed twice yesterday and may stay out awhile.
We had 1 day bird from 275. Birds were held until 9 because of ground fog, but had plenty of time to return. We will continue to clock birds until Thursday the 20th at midnight and I expect the majority to come on in today. The final race will be Friday the 28th.
We are taking the birds on a 30 mile toss this morning, 40 miles in the morning. We will rest them Tuesday and fly the 275 on Wednesday. If the weather cooperates, we will fly the 325 (final race) on Friday the 28th. Hopefully our 2017 changes will be posted on the website this week and you can sign up for the 2017 season. A few major changes are, 12 bird limit, $100 per bird, 6 for $500, 12 for $1000. The Mayberry Money Madness will change to, $200 and $500, and your can enter as many of your birds as you want, and birds can be entered in both races. The races will not start til October, to give these late arrivals a little more time to mature.
Birds are up at 8:00. Beautiful day. Release is posted on youtube. Good luck everyone.
