We are planning on flying the 5th race either Sunday or Monday. Most likely it will be Monday due to the weather. It will be 312 miles from Garrison, MT.
We will also post the payout before the next race. Thanks for your patience.
There are high winds predicted for Friday and Saturday all along the race course. Sunday has headwinds as well but not as strong. We still have 4 races to go with 2 of them being over 300 miles. So as of right now we are planning on racing the fourth race Sunday, September 25th. This race will be 250 miles from Melrose, MT.
We have had questions on the shedule because it doesn't align with what's on the website. The website is not up to date with the loft being moved to a new location. Therefore the rest of this year's races are as follows:
250 Miles from Melrose MT
312 Miles from Garrison MT
159 Miles from Spencer ID
350 Miles from Ovando MT
We would like to congratulate the top 3 winners from last weeks tough race:
1st - M2 Loft - UVI 1202 BC

3rd - The Chosen Few - CHSN 203 BBTC
You still have one more week to enter birds in our other options.
Sept 23rd - Sept 29th

AOC $ 125
2nd Chance $ 300
We will also be posting the payout as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
No excuses today. The weather was surpisingly cooperative. The birds had clear sunny skies with a few high scattered clouds and mild wind from every direction but nothing very strong for the first 160 miles of the course. The last 40 miles was mostly a 5 mph head wind with high overcast skies. They started South almost immediately after being released. We watched them until we couldn't see them. We caught up to them about 10 miles South of the release point and followed them for another 2 to 3 miles. So we know they at least got started in the right direction.
There was a good first drop of 19 birds, and the first 77 birds came perfectly from the north. Since then the majority have come back from the south. So they made a mistake somewhere and went the wrong way and over flew the loft most likely on the Ogden side of the mountains. The birds handled great when we crated them Friday night. So hopefully we will get more home tonight and into tommorrow. Today's race was the first race that they had to navigate the mountains up in Montana. In that rough and rugged country it's very easy to make a costly wrong turn. We stand by our decision to fly today. It was a great day for a race, unfortunately the birds made a mistake somewhere.
Sincerely
The first 2 races went good and the birds did great. We would like to congratulate the top 3 breeders from each race. They will recieve a free perch fee for next year.

The 3rd race will be 200 miles from Red Rock, Montana. The weather this week is very unstable so we will fly the 3rd race when we feel the weather will cooperate for the birds. The good news is that hopefully all the rain this week will help with all the fires we have going, and the birds won't have to fly through as much smoke as last week. We will also try to get in one more training toss before the 3rd race.
Also we are extending the deadline for the extra chances to win. After next week birds may still be activated for the color race, pedigree challenge, or 2nd chance but there will be an additional charge.
Prices are as follows:
Prior to Sept. 9th Sept. 9th - Sept 15th Sept 16th - Sept 22nd Sept 23rd - Sept 29th
Pedigree Challenge $75 $ 85 $ 100 $ 125
AOC $75 $ 85 $ 100 $ 125
2nd Chance $200 $ 225 $ 250 $ 300
Thanks for all your support
The birds overall did really well today. There was about 40 miles that was pretty hazy and smoky today. We have been really lucky as this is the first smoke the birds have had to fly through this year. We have watched about 25 birds now coming back from the south which usually means they went down the wrong valley and were headed towards Ogden, Utah.
Birds that were basketed for the race last night need to paid for. Most the checks are here and of course there are some in route. If you haven't sent money please do so soon or we will hold your birds out next week.
Thanks for all your support. We wish all the best of luck. So thankful to be able to fly your birds. Call or text us with any questions.
We released the birds a little later this morning to make sure they did not get mixed up with trappers loop birds. We will Box the birds tomorrow night for our 1st race on Friday please make sure to have your checks in the mail.
We are very happy with how the activation race went. The birds are looking great. We will do a couple of training tosses this week before our first official race. It will be from Sage Junction, ID 123 Miles. It is scheduled for this Friday. Please get your birds paid for prior to Friday. Any bird that came back from Osgood needs to be paid for to be shipped to Sage Junction.
