Good Morning Breeders

I hope everyone has a Happy Easter with Family and friends!! Well this year as everyone knows has been a very tuff year to get birds going and keep them going with out stopping them for a week or more. The 1st across the river is alway a difficult  toss every year no matter how many short tosses I do before we go over the snake river. Yesterday was the same thing I watched over 100 birds fly back and forth for over 20 minutes they wouldnt go over. So I watched small groups come from North South East and West all afternoon. The ones that came home will not do the same thing again it's that one time that wakes them up and I haven't figured out why or how to get them to cross better, I have tossed next to the river 1 mile and 5 miles on other side same out come. The birds are super healthy and look amazing bath today and back down the road 5x next week we are 2 weeks behind where we need to be but that's ok we will be fine before the real heat hits here!! Hoping to have acttivation race on April 26th if all goes well and they keep getting better. The reason I opened the loft in mid April till June is so I have can have these new birds 55 miles before the weather gets bad and re starting them in Feb should be easy. Loft opens in 1-1/2 weeks and remember no PERCH FEE up front till acttivation race April 2024. I hope you all have a Great Sunday.

Good Morning Breeders

Well the weather is a little better but not much lot's of wind rain and snow almost every day!! The birds are doing better every toss and will keep them training at least 5-6 days a week till I get them to the 60 mile station. As I write this I have a group of 30-40 that want to play and not trap always a grop of naughty birds every year LOL. Health is super lot's of buzzing and fighting in the loft birds are feeling super, Today they really didn't want to go in to a strong shoulder but they didn't waste any time heading home on top of the hill I tossed from was close to 20 mph out of the NW and I was straight South of the loft. We will start working South west after today and by middle of the week will cross the snake river that's always fun!! I am late because of the weather but we will catch up! The new add on starts this week coming and I start taking new birds the week of April 17th so lot's of work to get done in the next 30 days. I hope you all have a great Sunday with the family!!

Good Morning Breeders

The birds are look super and flying good!! The weather again is Crap wind every day last week and rain like today all day rain!! The weather will break and there ready to go on the trailer. I hope to get 2-3 tosses this week and keep going till activation fingers crossed. Other then weather it's all good here we have lots of time to get all races in before June rolls around. This year we are doing things differnt!! Taking birds starting April 17th till June 30th!! Reason birds here before it gets super hot and I can get them all trained out to at least 60-75 Miles before winter gets here I believe that will make my job easier come Feb-Mar. I hope you all have a great week and a Successful breeding year.

Good Morning Breeders

Birds out not the best weather but they have to go out!! Wind 15-20 cloudy and rain today but they seem to be doing better ever day. They will be loaded wednesday or thursday for there 1st toss. And the fun begins it's been a long cold snowy windy winter and I can feel spring is around the corner with some sun and warmer weather. Bird look and feel super they will be ready for the trailer and the challenge of our desert  and mountain course. Next two  weeks we start our building the extra section and the 80 foot avery that will make things so much better for the birds. Many olr open and taking birds I want yo wish you all a successful breeding year!!The last two years my 1st round has gone to my son for club races so it has put me behind a little but will start sending birds out the next 2-3 weeks. So I hope you all have a great Sunday with the family!!

Good Morning Breeders

Birds continue to go out daily and there grouping more and more. We will start the trailer in about two weeks want the birds to get more hours loft flying before training starts. Health is very good and birds look sharp. Weather is not super good with lot's of high winds and very cold but they have to go out can't wait. When I start down the road it will be 5-6 days of training every week till I get out to the 60 mile station. They will have many miles on them before 1st race I beleive my course birds do much better with lots of tosses and much needed miles on them. This year I have moved up the intake to the loft April 17th till june 30th trying to miss all the heat!! Other then that things are heading in the right direction hope you all have a blessed Sunday.

BIRDS ARE DOING GOOD LETTING THEM OUT ON GOOD DAYS!! THEY ARE STARTING TO GROUP AGAIN AND I AM HOPING TO START TRAINING 2ND WEEK OF MARCH. WITH NICE DAYS THESE BIRDS ARE GOING CRAZY WITH FIGHTING AND RUNNING HENS EVERY WHERE. HEALTH STILL HOLDING AND BIRDS LOOK VERY GOOD AND CAN'T WAIT TO GET THESE RACES GOING SHOULD BE A GREAT YEAR. AS OF RIGHT NOW I HAVE 480 IN THE LOFT I HAVE A BREEDER PULLING HIS 8 BIRDS BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED WITH V.F SO WILL START TRAINING  WITH 472. THIS YEARS NEW RULES FOR RACES IN 2024 EVERY THING HAS STAYED THE SAME $135.00 PERCH FEE AND $275.00 ENTRY FEE, THE ONLY CHANGE IS I WILL TAKE APRIL THROUGH JUNE 30TH AND NO PERCH FEE UP FRONT. PERCH FEE AND ENTRY FEE WILL BE DUE AFTER ACTIVATION RACE,I HAVE TALKED TO MANY TOP BREEDERS ABOUT THIS AND THEY HAVE THERE CONCERNS. BUT WITH ME IT'S NOT ABOUT THE MONEY IT'S ABOUT THE BIRDS AND FINDING THE TOP BIRDS IN MY RACE YEAR AFTER YEAR ON A TUFF COURSE. GALA WAS A BIG HIT THIS YEAR LOT'S OF SUPER BIRDS AND MEETING NEW PEOPLE IS ALWAYS NICE. NOW THE REAL WORK START WITH SHIPPING ALL THESE BIRD OUT STARTING THIS WEEK AND NEXT MONDAY THE LAST BIRDS WILL BE SHIPPED!! WE DON'T WANT TO OVER WHELM THE POST OFFICE LIKE WE DID LAST YEAR. WEATHER HAS BEEN  CRAP THE LAST TWO WEEKS LOTS OF WIND AND VERY COLD AGAIN. TODAY WAS OK WIND WAS 15-18 SOUTH WEST AND BIRDS ENJOYED THE DAY OUT. THIS MONTH BIRDS WILL GO OUT EVERY NICE DAY AND HOPE TO START TRAINING MARCH AND APRIL WITH 1ST RACE APRIL 12??. BIRDS LOOK SUPER HEALTHY AND EATING LIKE CRAZY WITH THIS COLD WEATHER. SO UPDATES WILL GET BACK TO EVERY SUNDAY, THIS LAST 12 DAYS I HAVE BEEN DOG SICK REAL SICK THE WORST SICKNESS I HAVE EVER HAD AND IT WASNT COVID. BUT TODAY I FEEL BETTER AND LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE ALL READY FOR VEGAS GALA WEEK FROM TOMORROW. 2023 IN TAKE FOR MY RACE I HAVE MADE SOME BIG CHANGES AND WE ARE ADDING 12X12 SECTION AND A 6X80 AVERY ON THE LOFT IN MARCH, THE LOFT WILL THEN HOLD 1000 BIRDS BUT ONLY TAKING 800 BIRDS THIS YEAR, PLEASE GO AND READ RULES AND RACE INFO TO SEE CHANGES!!! THE PRICE HASN'T CHANGED STILL $135 PERCH AND $275 ENTRY. WELL HE HAD A FEW NICE DAYS BUT THAT WENT A WAY LAST WEEK VERY COLD SNOW ON THE GROUND AND WIND BLOWING CANT ASK FOR ANYTHING BETTER!!!! BIRDS LOOK GOOD LOTS OF TIME TO GET THEM GOING AGAIN, WEATHER WILL TURN NICE HERE SOON WE HOPE? WITH THE CLOCK I KNOW WE ARE MISSING A FEW ON RINGING UP WE WILL DO A HAND SCAN NEXT WEEK TO LOOK AT THE BIRDS WING AND BODY CONDITION MY COUNT IS 490 IN THE LOFT. OTHER THEN THAT THINGS ARE GOING GOOD AND CANT WAIT TO GET THEM GOING AND FOR THE RACES TO START. IN TAKE FOR 2023 WILL BE SOME GOOD CHANGES  ALL FOR THE BREEDER!! WE ARE ADDING ON TO THE LOFT AND ADDING A 6X80 AVERY ON THE BACK AND TOTAL LOFT WILL BE 12X80 WILL HOLD AROUND 950 BIRDS BUT I WILL ONLY TAKE 800 BIRDS. I WILL BE SENDING NEW INFO OUT IN A COUPLE WEEKS, HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!

BIRDS ARE DOING GREAT!! WE HAD THE HOTTEST SUMMER THIS YEAR AND NOW WINTER CAME VERY EARLY AND IT'S BEEN SUPER COLD AND SNOW RAIN AND WIND. BIRDS ARE EATING LIKE CRAZY THAT'S WHAT 17-20 DEGREES WEATHER DOES. BIRDS WILL CONTINUE TO GO OUT ON GOOD DAYS ALL WINTER IF THAT HAPPENS DOESNT LOOK GREAT SO FAR BUT WE WILL KEEP TRYING. HEALTH IS HOLDING DID SOME MORE WORK TO MY LOFT FOR WINTER SHOULD HELP MOST MORNINGS UNDER 20 DEGREES WATERS ARE FROZEN BUT OVER THAT 24 DEGRESS WATERS ARE GOOD SO IT HAS HELPED SOME. THE OTHER THING IS TO PICK UP 16 WATERS EVERY NIGHT BUT A PAIN IN THE BUTT.  OTHER THEN THAT I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND CHRISTMAS IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. MOST EARLY OLR ARE COMING TO AND END AND THE 2023 BREEDING SEASON IS ON IT'S WAY FOR MOST OF US ALWAYS EXCITING FOR ME THIS TIME OF YEAR!! HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND TAKE CARE!!
