Strong winds continue, yesterday we took advantage of a small window and we did a short 30 mile toss. The good news is that starting tomorrow we have nice weather and that will continue until Saturday, we will be going to 56 miles tomorrow( single release) stay tune and follow us on Facebook or YouTube page so you don’t miss any live videos.
In regards to the Activation we want to say thank you to all the breeders that have paid. There are also a lot of payments on the mail and they will be processed as soon as they get here. Strong winds the last couple of days, that’s the reason why we haven’t been able to train, it’s frustrating but we have to do what’s best for the birds, we are looking at the weather closely and it looks like we should be back on the road on Tuesday, hopefully sooner if it changes. The good thing is that after Tuesday weather looks great and we will get as many trainers as we can and get these birds ready for Race 1 (137 miles)
Activation is going well, lot of payments coming in daily. More than 50% of the birds are paid for. Thank you for that.
TEAM COMPETITION is getting a lot of traction, we have a lot of teams paid for just waiting on the breeders to select their 4 birds before Race 1. Thank you for participating, it will be fun.

Tomorrow Saturday 20th is the Activation Race.
We will start Basketing the birds today at 6pm ET, it will be live on Facebook and YouTube (look for Florida Pigeon Derby on any of those two platforms if you don’t want to miss it.
Please pay your fees on time, this year we are taking Zelle, Credit & Debit Cards, all payment options are on our website under payment information tab, please follow the instructions. If you are planning on mailing your fees make sure to have a tracking number and they need to be here on time, we can’t have any more delays.
Non-activated birds or late payments will become property of Florida Pigeon Derby and they will be offered to other breeders to activate.

Quick update on what’s coming ahead, we are looking at the weather forecast for the next few days it looks like Saturday January 20th is the best day to do the Activation Race, if weather stays true we will go for it. The birds are flying well and hope to get 1 or 2 road trainers before activation. This year has been very challenging with the weather, something we can’t control.

Quick update on the birds, we are loft flying again due to weather, it’s frustrating not being able to train the way we want to but we can’t fight Mother Nature. The forecast is not looking good for the next couple of days, we are monitoring the weather closely and if we find a break we will take it. Hope you all have a great day.
