I hand caught every bird yesterday, and scanned them into the clock, 4 chips were dead, and then attempted to send it to Wincompanion, and no tamales. There were 220 something birds here. I am having to borrow a clock from Jim Hazek to try to capture future loft flys and training, while I send my clock to Siegles for repair. If not one thing it's another, on top of that the birds flew for a couple of hours today, as an agressive Gosh hawk chased them around but no bird got hit. Training will start this week, weather permitting, as we do have some storms called for.
Having issues with my laptop. Will try to post loft fly layer
I usually post loft flys every so often, because of the heat the birds are storming the trap and we are missing birds coming in, just be aware that number could be considered not accurate
Birds are flying very good. Routing, flying for over an hour, hawks are around, chase them every once in a while. Not much going on every day to report, loft fly and come in. Kind of ground hog every day. Training will start in a couple of weeks. No hurry, as we are hoping the current heat wave will break. some records broken for high heat and humidity.
Birds are doing much better at flying. Their 9/10th flights are a quarter of an inch from being all the way in. They are flying as a group now and flying for longer. The terrible heat we had had for weeks is also letting up, for now, due to come back in a few days. We plan on beginning training th first week of August if all is going good. I will hand scan the birds again before we start training, as I suspect That there are a couple more birds that have bad chips. That will be our fifth time to hand catch. Gotta be right . Thanks for flying the race and good luck. Tim and Kenny
We are having an internet issue. The clock shows there 231. Birds here. Flights are 3/4 way up. Birds are finally flying good. Thank you mr Cooper now go away. Training will start on about two weeks.

We hand caught every bird in the loft for the 4th time in the past two weeks, and checked every chip, and hand recorded every bird on a legal pad. After many weeks of not seeing a hawk we had a continuous attack from a large Cooper three days ago. i had 12 out for the first time. Looked like the Barcelona release, birds going in every direction. Here is the current updated inventory:
