The basket list is up. Please check for your entries to make sure it's correct. We have checks coming in this week. This is fine as long as they are postmarked prior to noon tomorrow. If you don't pay, we will handle that on our end. We always trust our customers, until they prove us otherwise. If for any reason you haven't paid, your check envelope must be postmarked before noon tomorrow. Have the PO hand stamp it.
As those of you know that fly with us, we do everything in our power, not to fly blow home finals. Tomorrow should be a real pigeon race, as before. There should be light and variable winds from start to finish. A working race, where you can find a good bird. I think they are going to have to work to get home.

We are planning on flying the final race, 325 miles, this next Wednesday. It's important to note, we have had late birds, Nome were beat up too bad. I may train this weekend, I have too see what the birds look like. It's cold at night now, and I also would like to let the birds rest. The wind has been brutal up here. If I do not train, I will loft fly the birds, not forcing any birds up.
Your payments are starting to arrive, especially the pay pal transactions. If you not have mailed your entry, iT IS TIME.
DONT FORGET THE COLORED BIRD RACE
The first group got in before the wind picked u. They came in a group then the speeds started dropping 80% of the birds are home. Giving this past weeks and weather and winds they did fine. Looking for some in the morning.

$400 for all birds clocked, on this race today. Watch for a day or so before paying If you are missing a bird.

The birds were pulled back to the 175 mile station this morning due to high winds expected. The wind is projected at SSE, 10-18 that it the dreaded side wind that is playing havoc with the birds. The hauler was at the 200 mile station and the wind was already present. Our hauler is a successful flyer in our club of 25 years, and the hauler of our club races for many years. He didn't like what he saw so we dropped back to 175. As I have told you the winds are outrageous here in the Midwest, just look at the Hoosier yesterday. Let's hope they lay into it. Good luck to all
We will be flying the 225 mile race on Tuesday. Weather Channel has overcast at release, AccuWeather has Sunny. I am keeping a close eye on the wind. They are calling for SSE winds 10-15. This is the dreaded side wind that we lost 30 something birds on the last race. We just flew the AU race 2 days ago, with brutal winds. Almost every flyer is still out half of their birds. NOTE: I will adjust distance according to heavy winds. I'm not interested in throwing birds away for any reason, period. There is no use in waiting because it doesn't change anytime soon. Rain also in future. temps been in 40's for 5 days, rain, snow, and sleet. Yesterday and today, bumping 80. Wow, what is going on with this weather. A glance at OLR's this year is showing a lot of losses in a lot of races, we are no different. Tough year all the way around in many parts of the country.
We woke up to 36 degrees, blowing wind, and ice pellets raining down We ship the AU race in 2 days. Yikes
I have never seen the wind blow at these speeds, 20-30 for the last week, at least. The birds were trained 50 miles Sunday. It has been raining ever since. We are looking at Sunday for the 225, weather permitting.
Well, Mother Nature did it to us again on the 150 mile race. Forecast at midnight the day of shipping, sw winds at 10-15. Figured it might be a little fast, but ok. During the morning, the winds switched to the se, gusting to 20-25. This created a quartering wind, which in my opinion is the worst. The birds were trying to go ne, with the sidewind pushing them back west. Special thanks to weather forecast apps. A bunch of idiots. We have about 3/4 of the birds home but they have been resting. We have not even been able to train due to the continuing unbelievable high winds. We will watch the weather and proceed when appropriate.
Birds are all broken up coming very slow. Coming out of NE. Got blown by. Strong SW wind blowing right now. Birds that are arriving are not tired in any way
Be interesting to see how the birds come today. We trained our AU birds from 50 miles early this morning. They have been there at l atleast 20 times. They circled instead of just going right home. Never do that, could fly it in the dark. The OLR birds circled for a long time today from the 150. Don't like it Something in the air??
We will be flying the 150 mile race tomorrow, Tuesday. We have been dancing with the weather here, and it looks like the best.day. Good luck to all.
