Good Morning Breeders

Birds are super flying great and looking amazing!! Health is also holding, molt is 99% done handled some the other day they are  where they need to be. Weather has been up and down cold snow rain but this week they will get some short tosses and will go out I hope to 50 miles and shut them down? I have been doing this yearling race now for 5 years and the reason I switched was how bad the smoke filled this valley caused many problems for me and our club. Would like your feedback  I want to go back to the early race. There will be lot's of work this year with in coming YB and doing the yearling race. Here is my format for 2024 Race $1000 for 4 birds shipped with birds after activation 125 miles $500 a bird. I am Guaranteeing $310K  will pay all races 150,200,250,325,400 all avg speed races  break down 10k,20k,30k,50k,150k ,150,200,250 clocking order and 325,400 drop then clocking and Avg $50k  Loft will hold 250 Teams. We train hard and it's a hard course from  400 miles,It will be one if not the only true 400 mile race west of Texas and Oklahoma, Start races in September and finish 1st-2nd week of October.So would love your feedback!! SUNDAY UPDATE

Good Morning Breeders

 
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving with family or friends!! Birds  are  looking very good, molt is 98% finished and health is super.The cold weather has moved in. It's been 18-20 Degrees the last few mornings and the birds are eating like crazy. The next few weeks birds will be on trailer and short tosses will start, we toss till  the weather stops us.We took a few days off and went to California Classic and Royal Crown and me and my wife had lots of fun!! We didn't win any money but we met some very nice people there, We will go back just because of the nice people that were there. John does a great job. The races were not the norm this year but what was has been this year!! Hope you all have a great Sunday with the family!!

I finally got all emails put in after I lost all off aol!!! So if your not getting emails please contact me. Birds are grouping well have 400 plus flying and the others are coming around. When there all up flying good I will start to train out to 60 miles before winter hits. Health is holding nice weather here is starting to cool down and the birds are liking it and the feed intakes have gone up. Most every day out we are getting hit by Mr coopper most of the birds don't get crazy they just get high and higher but I have lost a few off the loft some do come back in a day or two. And sorry for taking so long to get this group email out so late. Switching emails and adding is a real pain!! Best of luck in all OLR there all getting going and some have have  raced already. I hope you all have a great week and weekend!!

SUNDAY UPDATE

Happy Labor Day weekend 

hope everyone has a great weekend with friends and Family!!birds are shut down many Dove hunters all around my place. Birds are healthy and dropping feather like crazy, The races have started and I wish you all the best this year!! Birds will be let out Tuesday and Everyday till we start training This year.

SUNDAY UPDATE

Good Morning Breeders

Weather is still hot and many Thunderstorms and Rain Crazy dang year for sure this time of year!! Health is holding no real problems lots of feathers everyday in a big molt right now. 493 birds in the loft all trapped trained and last group is with all birds today. Birds will go out every day as long as the weather isnt blowing or severe rain so we can start training September October? The plan is to get them 60 miles 3 or 4 times then shut them down by the time winter hits!! It's always a great time right now most OLR the early races are training and getting close to Activation Races. SATURDAY UPDATE

GOOD MORNING BREEDERS 

BIRD INTAKE IS DONE WE HAVE 500 IN THE LOFT AND THE HEALTH IS HOLDING IN ALL THIS HEAT WE HAVE HAD. BIRDS HAVE BEEN OUT DAILY AND MOST ARE IN A HEAVEY MOLT. NOT MY BEST TIME OF YEAR WITH TONS OF FEATHERS EVERY WHERE HAVE TO SWEEP HALL WAY EVERY DAY OR I LOOK LIKE A PLUCKED CHICK WITH LOTS OF FEATHERS STUCK TO ME. I PLAN ON DOING INVENTORY THIS SUNDAY I KNOW I HAVE A FEW BANDS NOT WORKING OR THERE GETTING MISSED BY MY COUNT IN THE LOFT THAT WILL GET FIXED SOON WITH ANOTHER HAND SCAN. OTHER THEN THAT THINGS ARE GOOD I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Good Morning Breeders
The heat has set in and it’s been super super hot and so far the birds are taking it good!! Health is still holding and 95% are loft broke and flying, they are not flying that good with the heat. As of now we have 420 in the loft and this is the last week to ship and I have emailed missing birds and you have till aug 4th to send replacements if you have them?? Me and my wife walk a few miles a day and on our walks I am seeing eating pigeons here and there the coolers have been super active but they have moved on I believe do to the heat!! I have been letting the birds out in the afternoon because of the coopers but now no hits the last week or so so will move them to the mornings and see how that goes. The birds do love the big Avery they just hang out all day enjoying the hot sun. Till next week try to stay cool very hot in many states right now.

WELL MY BANDS FINALLY SHOWED UP AND I CAN FINISH PUTTING THEM ON AND DOING A INVENTORY!! BIRDS ARE HEALTHY AND LOOKING GOOD THEY ARE LET OUT IF THEY WANT TO GO ON LANDING BOARD. WE HAVE ABOUT 228 GOING OUT IF THEY WANT THE OTHER 70 ARE BEING WORKED ON TRAPPING AND GOING OUT TO AVERY. WE HAVE TWO WEEKS TO SHIP BIRDS LOOKS LIKE THE LAST TWO WEEKS WILL BE VERY BUSY AND THATS A GOOD THING. BEEN SUPER HOT OVER 100 FOR 5 DAYS NOW BUT COOLING DOWN TO 70-73 IN THE MORNINGS. PLEASE IF YOU SHIP THE NEXT TWO WEEKS DONT OVERCROWD YOUR BIRDS TO HOT AND WE DONT WANT ANY DEAD ONES OR OVER HEATED MAKES A LONG ROAD BACK FOR THEM.
